About fern collective

Based in Dunedin, New Zealand.

Created from lived experience.

We are a team of passionate humans offering wraparound support for neurodiverse individuals and their families. Fern Collective was born from a real need, because we lived it.

Founded by a neurodivergent parent and professional, we know firsthand how tricky it can be to find the right help.

So we built the support we wish we had!

At Fern Collective, we offer compassionate, tailored support – designed around you, not the system! Our services include therapy & social work, respite & family support, educational guidance, community connection, youth engagement.

We’re all about real-life solutions that meet you where you’re at. To see a full list of our services & how to get started, check out our fulls services page.

Empathy – We listen, we care, we get it.

Respect – We honour every person’s journey.

Collaboration – You are the expert on you. We are here to walk beside you.

Inclusion – We celebrate neurodiversity, always.

Fern Collective started small: just one neurodivergent social worker Holly, trying to make a difference.

Today, we’re a growing team of changemakers – each with their own lived experience, professional skills, and big heart.

We have trained across multiple fields because no one-size-fits-all approach works. We combine knowledge, care, and community to provide seamless, person-centered support.

  • Empower neurodiverse individuals and families.
  • Advocate for inclusion and awareness.
  • Create community.
  • Support wellbeing, resilience & independence.
  • Because everyone deserves the chance to thrive.

Whether you’re looking for guidance, connection, or just someone who gets it – you’re in the right place.

At Fern Collective, you’re not alone. You’re part of something bigger.
